FAQs

Can I put a gas fire pit on a wood or synthetic deck?

Yes. The heat from the gas fire pit will rise up and most likely not cause damage. Concrete also acts as a thermal regulator, so it protects the outside of the bowl from heating up.

Can I put a fire pit under a pergola?

Yes. Keep in mind that you should keep about 8-10 feet of clear space above your fire bowl. If it’s lower, you risk unwanted fire or damages.

Who can I call to help install my fire bowl?

For propane, we recommend calling a propane supplier near you. A simple Google search can give you options, or if we know someone locally then we can recommend them to you.

For natural gas, you can contact a plumber or HVAC specialist.

Do you need a permit for a fire bowl?

This will depend on the county you live in. We recommend checking local codes.

How much gas pressure is needed?

Propane: 11-13” water column

Natural Gas: 7-10” water column

Can I burn wood logs in my fire bowl?

No. The ashes will hinder the gas flow and eventually it will stop working.

Do I need to cover my fire bowl?

It is recommended to cover your fire bowl to avoid water build up in the jets. The brass will not rust but to keep it working best, we say it’s good to cover it.
